happy friday lovely people.

here are some recent sights,discoveries & inspirations

and scenes from my gardening projects. enjoy!

a friendly kitty shows me the pretty geraniums at a local garden market.

gorgeous mockingbird eggs & nest in a front porch bush.

our mimosa tree is in bloom & blankets the yard with a layer of fragrant blooms.

i love this wispy tree at the lake.

nothing to lose but our illusions June 11, 2011

i read this quote today:

“once you start to see through the myth of status,

possessions, and unlimited consumption as a path to happiness,

and it really resonated with me.

i don’t know if it’s because i’m getting older

& things i used to obsesses over don’t really matter so much anymore

{if they ever did}

or if it’s because of life changes i made about a year ago

{moving out of the crazy city, getting married, becoming a step~mom}

i don’t know…anyway…i love the quote.

i may have to make it pretty & hang it on the wall.

{but i digress}

i snapped these pictures of our lovely blooming mimosa tree

& a butterfly enjoying its bounty…

so pretty!  and the grass is all hot pink where the wispy petal thingies have fallen.

{until mr. d mows the lawn}
