on days like this…when the crap piles up & the weight of the world is on my shoulders
(& on my hips! & because of THAT i’ve blown out my back AGAIN )
& it’s been a week or so now since being rejected by the renegade craft fair chicago (boo!)
& have been doubting my craftiness…
i have to stop & re-read the following by rob breszny:
*
from his book PRONOIA IS THE ANTIDOTE FOR PARANOIA:
How the Whole World Is Conspiring to Shower You with Blessings
Liberate Your Imagination
*
“Let me remind you who you really are: You are one of the chosen ones.
You’re a luminous being. A primordial miracle. A resplendent avatar.
You are a deity in disguise–not a Buddha or a Christ,
but of the same lineage and made from the same mojo.
*
I want to be sure you get what I’m saying. You’re an immortal messiah.
You have been around since the beginning of time
and will be here after the end.
Every day and in every way, you’re getting better
at playing the mysterious master game
we all dreamed up together before the Big Bang bloomed.
*
Let me put it another way.
You’re a rebel creator
longing to make the whole universe your home and sanctuary.
You are a dissident bodhisattva joyfully struggling
to germinate the seeds of divine love that are packed inside every moment.
*
It’s time to remember.
You are a shimmering burst of spiral hallelujahs
that has temporarily taken on the form of a human being,
agreeing to endure amnesia about your true origins.
And why did you do that?
Because it was the best way
to forge the exquisitely unique and robust identity
that would make you such an elemental force
in our 14-billion-year campaign to bring heaven all the way down to earth.
*
You and I are freedom fighters
scrambling and finagling and conspiring
to relieve all of our fellow messiahs from their suffering
and shower them with more blessings than they know what to do with.”
*
& i’m sure i’ll feel even more so when i pick up the muscle relaxants my doc just phoned in! a-ha!!
*
now for something COMPLETELY different…
*
i wanted to show you what i did last weekend
(probably the reason for the back spasms!)
i played a zombie in a little feature film
(by rebel creator bennie woodell)
called: Fast Zombies With Guns
now, i know the following probably goes against what mr. breszny (above)
is campaigning for (he doesn’t like violent & mean movies & to a degree i agree…
but how ELSE are we gonna know how to KILL the zombies when they come
if there aren’t movies about zombies??)…
it was a ton of fun (& i got shot in the mouth by the leading man!)
i thought the makeup was awesome & very artistic…
wow, that make-up is crazy cool!!
(((sending hugs and love your way)))
Wow! That’s so cool! It looks so real it made my stomach churn a bit when I scrolled down to see the pics! Yuck! Now how many people can put on their resume that they have experience as a ZOMBIE? Right on!
When I first glanced at the pics I thought, “OMG! What happened to Stacy!” Then I read the post. Sounds like some serious fun.
Those art fair people don’t know what’s good for them.
Hope the back heals up quick.
I love reading your posts. I think your wonderful
well gee-whiz thanks! =)
